Mindful Eating and Mindful Yoga Workshop
Join Lil Omm founder, Pleasance and Registered Dietitian, Allison Tepper in their Mindful Yoga and Mindful Eating workshop on Sunday November 19th from 2:30 pm -4:30 pm.
Take time out of your day to relax, unwind, and learn how to incorporate self care into your daily routine through the techniques discussed in this workshop and that we will experience together.
Mindful Yoga will be an exploration of body, mind, breath connection. Pleasance teaches and practices freedom style yoga that empowers practitioners to cultivate awareness in their own bodies. These gentle, mindful postures & practices are suitable for all levels, all ages, all body types and all humans!
A mindful yoga practice is sustainable for all seasons of your life and is a transformational practice for all areas of your life. It is a beautiful partnership with mindful eating.
Allison Tepper will discuss Mindful Eating, which incorporates listening to your body to identify your personal food and nutrition needs. Mindful eating focuses on your body’s cues to identify what and how much to eat, and focuses on behavior change and healthy habits rather than dieting. This program will also include a mindful eating chocolate tasting!
Location & Parking: IMCW (Insight Meditation Community of Washington) is located at 4708 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington DC. Please note, there is no elevator access to the 2nd floor. There is street & metered parking on Wisconsin, Chesapeake, and surrounding side streets. If you are not a Zone 2 permit holder, consider using public transportation to ease your concerns about feeding meters/time limits.
