Pause: Half Day Yoga & Meditation Retreat

Our popular retreat returns to IMCW on Friday, April 28th from 9:30am-2:30pm!  Take some time to enjoy yoga, meditation, reflection, and quiet in a peaceful, welcoming space right here in DC!

There is no better time for a day of purposeful reflection, contemplation, and community as we embark on a new year.  Whether you work full-time or a stay-at-home parent juggling everyone’s schedules, you can take a few hours to yourself the break you need from your busy life in a simple, accessible way.

I explain why retreats are necessary and transformative!

Registration is now open for our Spring Pause Retreat in April.

If you’ve never been on a yoga retreat, this is a great entry point (not too long, not too far away, not too rigid).  All levels, ages, and stages are welcome.  Our practice is safe and gentle enough for prenatal and postnatal students.

Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.  All participants will have a short break for lunch– bring your own or stop by a local restaurant or cafe (Whole Foods is 2 short blocks away).  If you have any food/dietary restrictions or concerns, please e-mail me.

Location & Parking: IMCW (Insight Meditation Community of Washington) is located at 4708 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington DC.  Please note, there is no elevator access to the 2nd floor.  There is street & metered parking on Wisconsin, Chesapeake, and surrounding side streets.  If you are not a Zone 2 permit holder, consider using public transportation to ease your concerns about feeding meters/time limits.

Please be aware of our Mindful Return Policy: Registration is non-refundable.  We know life happens, especially as the holidays approach.  In order to honor and respect the time and effort of the organizers, participants, and the center there are no refunds issued. If you are no longer able to join us, you may apply your payment to another lil omm offering. Please contact pleasance@lilomm.com if you have any questions.

Pause was a wonderful way to unplug, for a few hours, from the pressures of everyday life. The meditation was very renewing & the energy of a small group of women was comforting. It was a unique opportunity to check-in with how our lives reflect the personal goals we value.

If we don’t actively make time for our own nurturing, introspection and dreams, the time will never magically come. I’m glad that I “PAUSEd” from my busy workweek and had a timeout that not will carry me through the coming days, but give me the tools to try to make that room and space on my own.”
